Do you think that a PhD in financial computing and analytics from the UCL's Computer Science dep. will give me some chances of finding a good job as quant TRADER ? Or will it just give me a shot as quant DEV ? Do you think that a PhD in applied math from Warwick is a better route to a quant trader role ? ( I got also a Msc in theoretical physics and a BS in physics )
I am just asking, I am not sure even if I will leave academia or if I will do a standard academic career.
I am asking because I have heard some voices about the fact that CS PhDs are just consedered quant dev stuff because of math background and they will not be given even the possibility of an interview for a trader role.
