Dear all,

I am still an undergrad. maybe its still a little too early to consider being quant. But I have a strong interest in doing quant analysis. So I would appreciate if anyone could answer some of my questions.

I am currently a math and business double major. I am planning to go into MFE directly after I complete my undergraduate studies.

I am wondering if you guys jump directly into MFE after undergrad or is it better to work a few years before applying to the program?

How should I prepare myself to get into top MFE program? which factors are most important? GPA, GRE score or resume(internship experiences)? Does internship in a financial firm even matter?

thank you all

some people have jumped directly from undergrad into an MFE program. It works sometimes.

I don't think an internship in a financial firm matters but it won't hurt.

Every school looks at the different factors differently: GPA, GRE, resume and interview are all important. Try to put your best effort.
