About five minutes after I boot up my computer it makes a sound as if an error has occurred. The same sound you get when you have a run time error and the visual studio debug window pops up, or when you click a button that you are not supposed to. Only, no window pops up, and the computer continues running like normal. It has been happening for a couple of months now.

Does anyone know what that could be about? My guess is that there is an error in an internal process. But beyond that I'm clueless.

My only other guess is that somehow Chuck Norris is involved. In which case, I am completely okay with it.

If you go to run and type "msconfig" you can change what gets started on boot. Try disabling some things there to see if the problem goes away.

Maybe someone played a mean trick on you and made the bootup sound five minutes of silence followed by an error beep.

Thank you kindly. I checked the error log. Sure enough, failure 5min 30 sec after start up in driver "UDFreadr". Appears to be some obsolete file.
