Hi guys,

Since there wasn't an official thread for Rutgers MSMF admits for the session starting in 2015 till this point, I thought I may as well get one going.

Who all here have received responses in the affirmative so far and are strongly considering joining?

Have applied but no reply yet. Did you get through ?

Hi, Kou. Yeah, I have a conditional offer of admission :) Just noticed you too are from India. Where do you currently reside?

Hi, I am currently residing in Delhi. Where are you from ?

I too am from Delhi. When did you submit your application? Would the Rutgers MSMF be a strong consideration for you in the event of admission?

I'm currently seeking reviews of the program. None of the ones on QuantNet are very recent submissions.

Not sure, will decide once I get the admits!

I got an admit on the 3/12....

Hey, cshane. Are you strongly considering joining? I noticed from a different thread that you're waiting for responses from NYU and Columbia. I too have applied to the latter and am a bit worried I may not have a response by Rutgers' supposed deadline, May 15.

Do you mean April 15? If it's between Columbia and Rutgers it may be a hard choice. Yes Columbia is ivy, but they're not as math heavy as NYU or Rutgers, and their career services suck. On the other hand I can't completely disregard the advantage of brand name... NYU is actually my top choice though because Courant is the place for applied math. Also I live in NYC so there's the convenience factor.

Yeah, I'm sorry. I had meant April 15. Yeah, I can see why NYU is the best fit for you personally. I, though, am an international applicant, and I suppose brand name might be a big consideration if I do end up having to choose between Rutgers MSMF and the MAFN.

When exactly did you submit your Columbia application, btw? I submitted mine on March 2, hence the worry about the response for MAFN not arriving in time.

Hey guys! I also just got admitted to Rutgers today. But I couldn't find any recent reviews of the program, either :(

One way I can think of is to cold email the current students and ask their opinions on the program. ;)
