The second Salih Neftci Memorial Scholarship, generously endowed in perpetuity by Baruch MFE alumni and students in memory of their former instructor, Professor Salih Neftci, will be awarded in early 2011 to a current Baruch MFE student .

The Alumni Committee who will oversee the awarding of the Salih Neftci Memorial Scholarship this year is made of
David Cuddihy (Baruch MFE'04)
Tom Suehr (Baruch MFE'05)
Chun Wong (Baruch MFE'05)

It is notable that all of them had Salih as instructor.

Many thanks to Chun, Dave, and Tom for all their help!

The winner of the second Salih Neftci memorial scholarship is Yingxue Li. Congratulations! The scholarship provides a $1,250 tuition credit for the following semester.

Special Salih Neftci scholarships were awarded this year to Amanda Kotler, David Rappaport, Alexei Smirnov, and Yike Lu. Each special scholarship (which are not customarily awarded) will provide a $575 tuition credit for the following semester.

The prestige of being awarded the scholarship is worth a lot more than the monetary award.

Hearty Congratulations, Yingxue Li, Amanda Kotler, David Rappaport, Alexei Smirnov, and Yike Li.

I agree just trying to know what a funding of $27000 can support in scholarship (thus indirectly what was assumed for perpetual return ;) )
