UCL has a new program MSc program in Financial Mathematics, in which I am interested. I have a background in Physics, but I like to switch to the field of Finance. After obtaining a Master's degree I would like to enter a position at an Investment Bank (both the investment banking division and securities division appeal to me). Do you think, given my situation, it is a good choice to go for UCL's MSc? I am worried about that the Master's program will not provide me the practical tools and qualitative financial skills (like someone who studied economics does have). I really do like to acquire those skills, but given my background, I can not apply for e.g. an MSc in Economics.
Can anyone help me deciding? The courses of UCL's MSc can be found here: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/maths/courses/msc-financial/

If you want something more qualitatitve you could apply for courses like LSE's MSc in Finance, or HEC's MIF. Both will accept scientists.
