Hi everyone, I do not think I will be able to find an internship this summer. I'm taking a lot of classes required to actually understand what is going on next semester. From my understanding, by then a lot of places will have stopped accepting applications. Additionally, I am going to Taiwan to take language courses during the summer. To make up for not getting an internship I was thinking about trying to do some research in the quant space. How would I go about picking out a topic that I am able to make progress on, but not so easy to where someone looking at it will think it is trivial?
