Submitted but an updated CV?

Hi all,

I am an 2011 MFE aspirant, and as many of my peers have done so already, I have submitted most of the applications by now. I recently started a new job - the employer was the former head of algorithmic trading in my previous company, and as his company is expanding, we struck a deal and I will work for him for several months before I leave for grad school. We agreed on the projects I will be doing in advance, I will be working as a junior trader role and assist a senior trader (who is also an ex-colleague) in developing some new strategies in ETFs, dual listing and relational volatility trading.

The question is: if I send an update CV or perhaps briefly explain my new role to the institutions I applied will the admission committees take it into account ? It seems strange to do it after everything's been submitted but as the role is relevant I would like to let them know...

Anyone has similar experiences? Any inputs will be very much appreciated!

JY

Yes you should as it will add invaluable relevant elements to your profile. As an application reader, I'd like to see this update.
Now, your job is to reach out to a human in the grad admission office or someone in the MFE program who answer your email/phone. They shouldn't turn down some reasonable request like this.

And also add your timelines of the MFE programs you applied to our Tracker.

Thanks for the advice Andy! That's probably what I should do.

My cases (ones which the institution is listed) are added to the tracker as well. :)
