I am currently in my final year of college, pursuing engineering. I've secured a position as a software developer engineer and I will be starting out once I graduate. However, I am interested in transitioning to a role as a quantitative researcher/analyst/developer after gaining about 6 months of experience as a software developer. What steps should I take now to facilitate a career switch in the future?
