I was wondering if any of you have worked at Bloomberg or happen to know the kind of quant work that Bloomberg does. Any info would be great.

We had an interview with Peter Carr who is the head of quant research at Bloomberg.

You can see a typical day at work for him. I visited Peter on many occasions and the pace there is academic like and not as hectic as you would find inside a bank. Some enjoy environment like that, others would thrive in a more chaotic place.

I have a phone interview for a quant position at Bloomberg. It might happen in the next 2 days. Any last minute tips ? Thanks!!
I have not claimed any finance knowledge in my resume, just lots of math and programming.
I have cleared an intial basic interview where they asked me some puzzles and some C/C++ questions.
I am PhD. student in dynamical systems in engineering, hoping to graduate in May-2010.
My undergrad was in Mechanical Engineering.
