I don't really understand the transcript request form in Baruch's application. Can't I just ask my school to send my transcript to Baruch directly? It would be great if someone could clarify. Thanks!
There are several separate admissions offices at Baruch --
the Zicklin School of Business, which has one office which handles their regular MBA & MS admissions and a separate office which handles their executive MBA & MS admissions;
the School of Public Affairs, which offers degrees in public administration, and
the Weissman School of Arts and Science, which handles the Financial Engineering program as well as a couple of MA degrees (Corporate Communications, Industrial & Organizational Psychology.)
Plus there is an undergraduate admissions office, and there are also two CUNY Ph.D. programs which are based at Baruch.
You need to ensure that your transcript is sent to the "Office of Graduate Studies" at the Weissman School rather than one of the other offices. The transcript form should help ensure that your school sends the transcript to the correct office.
Likewise you need to use the correct code on your GRE exam to ensure that your test scores are sent to this office rather than to one of the others.
Yeah I did get an email saying that you are working on a new system. So if I already started the old application, would the information I filled in be transferred to the new system? Or am I going to lose everything?
We will not move to a new system. Use the Embark application at https://apply.embark.com/grad/baruch/weissman/20/
You can upload a pdf with all the transcripts, rather than sending them it, until an admission offer is made.
