Nice share! But, pretty much all private universities have followed suite...UofC is no exception or leader in my personal opinion...Cash Cow Master programs are springing up in both private and public universities alike..So, public universities also at least partially exhibit this behavior..

40 years ago university cost me 300 pounds a year for Maths. And after first year there were 7 of us in the lecture hall. I feel kind of humbled, looking back. Only recently heard that one of the lecturers had been a PhD student of William Feller at Princeton.

Life must be awful hard these days.

Rent: 3 pounds a week; pint Guinness 16 pence.
