UCB MFE UCB MFE Admission Results Discussion

I guess that means waitlist. You can call them to ask for detail. If you don't mind, can you share your background? Thanks a lot!

Hey I am in a similar position, application status is held pending interview.

I will be contacting the uni directly, but any idea what this means?

Thanks for your help

I haven't received emails from Berkeley yet and I interviewed two days ago... And there are no updates on my status portal... I am a bit worried now lol

hey guys, just a quick question. Do all of you have experience in C++? Thanks for your reply.

I have seen you make this question a couple times now... While it is certainly important to have a good GRE and coursework, I have the certainty that the best schools do look at your application hollistically... so it is more about creating an interesting profile other than a good numbers profile. As a sort of benchmark you can take this:

everything they listed: macroeconomics, stats, calc, linalg, pde, machine learning, programming and algorithms, 3.9/4 and 335

Thank you for your responses. For the prerequisites, I consider them to be something essential to the application.

I applied round 1 for Berkeley's MFE program and interviewed this Wednesday. I haven't received any updates or decisions for my application till now. I am wondering if I should keep waiting or should I send an email to the admission office and ask lol. Thanks!

Hi @kkkznl, I think it would not hurt to send an email to the admission office, since I got my result from Linda through email lol

Hi @bodeng ,

you said you directly received an email from Linda? Since I got an offer of recommendation of admission but didn't receive a mail from Linda.
Just wondering whether your application status also mentions this? "before we can recommend to the dean of the graduate division that you be admitted to the Berkeley Haas MFE Program for the Spring 2020 term, we require that you complete a series of items, herein referred to as “conditions,” in preparation for the Berkeley MFE Program. "
Because I still have one or two conditions left, I am wondering whether this is the reason I didn't receive the mail yet.

Thanks

Hi @YHL,

I received the same wordings as you. I think I received email from Linda primarily because I was asking if my application process could be expedited, and she just told me my result through email; so I think whether receiving a email from Linda is not something you have to worry about:)
