Hello,

I have applied to few MSc programmes in UK, can someone tell me which one is the best and what are pros and cons of each one?
And which 2tier university is the best for fin. math?

University of Essex-Computational finance
University of York-Statistics and computational finance
University of Leeds-Financial Mathematics.
Cass- Financial mathematics

thank you:)

Have you looked at the MSc degree in Birmingham, UK?

Not yet. But i am currently studying economics(money and finance), in description of programme it is written that you need deegre in math or related numerate subject?

What do you think about essex and york?

I am unfortunately not familiar with those universities.

I can say however, that I have been/am external MSc supervisor to ~30 students at Birmingham for the last few years and I am very impressed with the quality of their work. All finance projects are in C++, in which they are trained in the course of the academic year.
I usually interview the students face-to-face in order to define projects together.

In general, I suppose having a good maths background is useful but the prof in Birmingham can tell more.
