What's the difference between in PhD in Finance and Financial Economics?

May I know what the different between those as I couldn't figure it out?

I would say that there really is no difference post-Sharpe. Some programs in Finance may include more Corporate Finance though.

IC, thanks you all. As I saw there is a PhD Finance and Financial Economics concentration in PhD Economics in MIT. I also sent an email the same question to Prof. Andrew Ang from Columbia University , but no reply yet.
