If one were to create a website that aims to explain and employ graduate level financial concepts and mathematical models to undergraduate level students, would this sort of project assist in admission?

Are there any other types of projects or independent non academic work that would help in admissions? (Not trying to ask for ideas, just examples of what would increase chances of getting into top programs)
