YouTube issues

The site will load, but no video's will. It has been this way for two years. It isn't a data issue, I've gone through the standard methods of cache deleting and all that. And yes, I'VE EVEN TURNED THE COMPUTER OFF AND ON.

We are a computer literate bunch, anyone have suggestions? I don't watch a whole lot of YouTube (obviously not in the last two years) which is why I haven't taken it in, but every once in a while I try and then get annoyed when it still doesn't work.

Have you tried a different browser - Mozilla? Does the problem persist, if you were to use a LiveCD and boot your computer with Ubuntu?

I have no idea what a LiveCD or Ubuntu are, but I have tried multiple browsers and the issue persists.

Ubuntu is just a flavor of Linux; and you can download it on the pen-drive, boot your machine from it, without having to install.

Anyway, I can help you on the weekend, if you like. We can give it a shot. If it works on a different OS, then it's some OS/software problem (Win11/Mac) whatever it is e.g. device drivers not working.

Yes, all other forms of video on internet work.

Connect your phone to the same wifi and try youtube. If it works then it is a local issue with the PC. If it does not then it is the network issue with youtube.
Try to ping youtube from you PC and see if there is any loss packets. It could be a browser filtering that block YT.
