I was wondering if someone can give me an answer in this forum from their experience if 46 will be toolate to get in QF. I have a quantitative phd and an MBA, and have been working in the IT industry for 14 years. However, I like math ( I have a published paper) and programming and was thinking of doing an MS in QF. However, by the time I graduate I will be 46 And I am not sure if I can get a job in QF at that age coming out of grad school with QF work experience.

Please let me know if it would be worthwhile at this point for me to get into QF.

From someone who only wants trade and doesn't understand the quant lust, I provide this advise. If you have a Phd and MBA then you should already have the tools you need to sell yourself for just about anything. If you love it then do it but I wouldn't do it for money or a job. You need to get out of the "work for someone else mentality" seriously. Not to sound crass, but is your education really that worthless?

Realistically, have a prey mentality. You need to take a predator mentality to these things. ;0

You should be able to get a decent quant job already. Send me a private message with your email and I will get you in touch with few recruiters who can help you out right away.
