Is this math certificate worth anything? You won't be able to use the career placement services. What are your thoughts about this certificate?

If you are looking for a math degree but you are looking to find it somewhere besides a big time school which requires bigger payments and driving to campus then I would highly recommend looking at different online degree's. I'm not saying this certificate is really bad or anything, but I feel you could get a bachelor's or masters degree in math via online education and still start a career with the people that went to big time institutions. Yes many people are skeptical about online degree's, but they can be very convenient for people that might be looking to get their degree on their own time, in their own space and by themselves and not in a classroom. I would highly recommend checking out http://www.onlinemathdegrees.org which is a link that will allow you to learn more about what you can do with an online degree, different salary questions, growth etc. This certificate doesn't look bad, but like you said you might not be able to get the best job you are looking for in regards to your professional career.
