To my understanding, MSFE is a specialization study on derivative market, so as to prepare students getting a quant job. But are quants the only jobs we are looking into? I just want to know if there any other positions within an investment banking or the entire financial industry also require skills which are learnt from MSFE.

Btw, I'm new to here. Say Hi to everyone :)

MFE prepares you for any positions that a quantitative mind is needed. That covers many positions on Wall street. I know of MFE grads who end up as investment bankers as well.
Here is a partial list of what Baruch MFE grads end up. Add traders and some more to that list

People with strong C++ programming skills are employed in positions where they interact with both traders and senior quantitative analysts.
Quantitative Analyst
Quantitative Researcher
Quantitative Programmer
Credit Quantitative Analyst
Credit IT Specialist
Software Engineer
Data Analyst
Electronic Trading Developer
Trading Systems Developer

People with strong knowledge of finance obtain jobs in structured finance, risk management, or as financial analysts.
Senior Credit Modeler
Collateral Analyst Senior/Junior Risk Management Officer
Portfolio Manager
Risk Analyst I
ndex Options Analyst M
BS Modeler
Analyst
Business Analyst

A good follow up question might be: which of these you can get after getting a degree other than MSFE.

For example, you can be a Data Analyst after getting a degree in Computer Science or Statistics or Math :)

You can probably get any of those positions as long as you show proficiency in those fields. You only need your feet in the door. The MFE might not be necessary if you know it already.

But some people already have their feet in the door and still want to get an MFE. So there must be some positions they are thinking about that require MFE.

Yes, this is more elaborated to my question.
Because I'm interested in the study materials in MFE, but not sure about what kind of job really require MFE. Like "what make me better than other job applicants if I have a MFE" to certain job/positions?

you need to prove what you know in an interview... also, you need to fit in. You can be the brightest person in the world and if you don't fit in, you won't get a job. Also, communication skills are very important. If you can't communicate with a trader, you won't be getting anywhere either.
