EDHEC-Risk - EDHEC-Risk Institute PhD in Finance - Overview

Help me evaluate how close this program to Quantitative Finance/Financial Engineering/Computational Finance?

Thanks.

The modules and electives seem pretty relevant, but you have to remember that you could be competing with people with PhDs in mathematics, engineering, computer science, etc. So you need to be able to demonstrate your knowledge in those areas, and have an edge over other people. One way to do this would be through your research by doing research that is heavy on the quantitative and computational side of finance.

The PhD you have linked is more targeted towards people with years of experience (executive education). What is your background in?

Is this the only program you are considering?

Hi Connor,

I have 6 years in finance as software developer. So I have good programming skills.
Maybe I have problem with math - currently I"m looking for a solution, how I may fix this.
I do not consider other Ph.D. programs, because I cannot find something more suitable for me on a part-time basis.

Hi...

I'm considering the PhD in Finance @EDHEC. So did you join the programme eventually?

If you did, would you mind sharing how the experience is like?

Thanks a million

how long is it going to take you to finish a PhD as a part-time student?
