Finance BBA or Economics BS?

Hi guys, soon-to-be junior undergraduate here.

I've been previously leaning towards a double major in Finance (BBA) and Mathematics (BS) in order to ultimately pursue an MFE program and enter a Quantitative Finance career. Now that I'm a junior, I'm not longer a "pre-business" major and need to choose one officially.

The relevant choices, all with a double major in Mathematics:
1. ECON (BBA)
2. ECON (BS) Minor ____ (thinking computer science as a minor)
3. FINANCE (BBA) (probably still able to minor in computer science as well)
4. INSY (computer science) (BBA)
5. INSY (BS) Minor ____ (FINA or ECON)

While I've been previously leaning towards choice 3, after reading these forums, it seems like more people are going with choice 2 by taking Economics. Are there any real advantages to each other, Finance or Economics? Also, what is the significance of BBA vs. BS pertaining to this career?

And by the way, sorry if this has already been asked, tried searching the forums, but wasn't able to find this specific question.

Thanks for the help!

Curltron I have a similar situation, I have already graduated with a degree in Finance but don't have the math or coding background needed for an MFE. If you are going to keep your double major in math I would go with option 4 this would give you the coding and mathematical skills you need to become competetive in a program. I am currently going back to school for an undergrad math degree with a minor in computer science, I have a blog on the site feel free to read through it below is the link hope you enjoy!

I'm not 100% sure on how BBA vs BS will be viewed but in my opinion a BS is more quantitative and rigorous.

I would say option 2 (Econ with CS minor) because economics underlies much of finance and business degrees are sometimes viewed as easy (rightfully so from my experience).

Option 5 would also be a good option if you are more interested in the programming/development side of things.

thanks for the help guys, I was also leaning towards option 2. I really would prefer not to be as much of a developer though I do enjoy coding.

Anyone else know if there is a significant difference between a BBA and BS, or more specifically, if it will matter to graduate program admissions or employers?
