Tell me straight up how far off I am from be a qualified candidate for a top 15 MFE program.
I am a senior attending Illinois State University in Finance. I will have graduated in 3.5 years with a GPA of 3.9. I planning on sitting for CFA level 1 this June. I have taken Computer Science 1 (java), Calc 1, Calc 2, Probability and Stats (no calc).
I understand that after I graduate I will have to take classes in the following: Calc 3, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Probability Theory, Numerical Analysis, C++, VBA, MATLAB, SAS, etc.
I can take these classes at night at a community college while working and plan to have these done in 3 years. This makes me 25 years old. Should I even bother? Will taking the classes at a CC hurt my chances? White Male too. Scored a 725 on the GMAT.
Any advice would be great
