I'm a rising ug senior at an Ivy League school doing math and cs(3.7 gpa).
Planned to apply to grad school initially but realized I didn't like pure math research after reu last summer + funding cuts.
I've done a good amount of analysis/algebra/probability(maybe not the probability quant interviewers want) and also took some classes in ml and algorithms although not much for statistics.
Programming skills are fairly average and only know java and python from classes and some research projects(nothing super complex, just some modeling).
Doing a data science internship this summer but wanted to prepare for quant interviews in the fall.
I've been reading Crack's heard on the street and the green book.
Also have taken the Putnam and gotten top 500.

Do I have a competitive application even though I haven't done any internships in quant and I don't know any C++? I'm not sure if I'm using the right resources to study and if it's even worth all of this time or should I try later and just apply for a masters?

Assume you are US domestic student, you can boost your chance by doing C++ course and/or Python. You will be tested for those skills in all entry level quant interviews.
Use your school career services and alumni network to apply.
Go through the interview books, Leetcode prep (again, you need better programming skills).
US residence + Ivy name + Putnam may give you a better shot than many applicants but competition is tough.
Go through a recruiting cycle to see which area needs more preparation + training so you can better plan for next round. If you can get a job, all is good. If not, everything above is an excellent preparation for quant masters.
