did anyone who got a reject, immediately get a mail to consider a different program?

I received a reject in early January and a welcome email inviting me to apply for the Applied Urban Science program in early February. This program has nothing to do with quant, and I think they were just sending it as a routine procedure.

I hope this forum is still active. Recently I secured an admit from NYU Tandon for MFE with 8k scholarship. The deadline for the same is 1st April. However, I have a few decisions still pending one of which would come at 27th March. Thus, should I ask for an extension right now considering the amount of news I am hearing about the offers being rescinded or maybe the scholarship funds being ended?

I see you still have the UCB MFE application pending? Are you waiting for anywhere else?
