Sorry guys,

Maybe I used the wrong words. Could anyone please evaluate the Oxford program?. I've been searching comments on it in this forum and I only found one related to the Msc Financial Economics, but the one I'm asking is the Msc. Mathematical and Computational Finance. I let you the link for the structure of the programe Course Components | Mathematical Institute - University of Oxford.

I just want to know from your perspectives, the efficiency of the program structure. Any comments are welcome.

Regards and thnks in advance.

I was in the capital markets analyst program at a New York investment bank, and we had a few recruits from Oxford who mostly went to the trading floor. We also had a few more from LSE. I am sure the programs are difficult to get into and have strong placement records- though I have been told that LSE has a bigger program and therefore, it may be more difficult to get placed.

Just out of curiosity- are you an American (just noticing how you spelled "program")? Do you plan on working in the US or the UK/Europe when you graduate? If you want to work in the US, I would imagine it might be easier if you went to a US school.

Hi Goillini,

Thank you for your comment, it was very helpful to see the reputation that the program has in the market.
I am not from US neither UK. I am from South America and after pursuing an Msc in the field I plan to get back to my country (I have to because am sponsored by my country with a government scholarship).
More than the perception of the program by potential recruiters is the quality of its structure regarding the courses taught in it or in other words is the curriculum good enough to give you the necessary tools to work in the field?. Personally I'm looking for a program to work as a quantitative trader and then become a portfolio manager.

Regards
