Curriculum - Master of Science in Computational Finance - Carnegie Mellon University , you'll notice similar courses. If they are relevant for
CMU, I think that gives a good idea of their relevance for other programs. To me, it seems the Pre-MFE courses (advanced calc, probability, NLA) serve as a great refresher/survey of undergraduate math while simultaneously weaving in applications to finance. If you can afford them, I think they would serve you well regardless of what program you end up deciding to go to.
