Are decisions completely based on your application this year and supporting docs? Or has anyone had an actual interview?

Decisions are based on your CV, transcripts, and recommendations (no GRE this year) and they don’t conduct interviews. There also seems to be a tilt towards international candidates, I’ve seen a decent amount of European students on LinkedIn (math standards tend to be higher at top European schools). I think the small cohort nature of this program mixed with no GRE consideration is gonna be interesting lol

Awesome. Thank you @Rey_De_Leon
I'm very curious about the Stanford MCF program as very little is known about them. Please share with us anything you know.
Anyone can volunteer to provide some info like application deadline, tuition, admission, employment stats?

It seems like the program prefers to stay small and mysterious, leaning on the “it’s Stanford we don’t need to convince you we’re a great school” approach. We might learn more from a current students/alumni than current applicants. My favorite display of this is the employment stats on the programs FAQ:

“We have a 100% placement rate for students desiring internships and full time industry employment in recent years. While this cannot be guaranteed without respect to employment conditions, our small size, long running reputation in industry, alumni network and broadly transferrable skill set have served our students well. We also have a strong academic placement history.”

Don’t worry everyone gets a job after this you don’t need anymore details 🤣

I know they take a lot of students from Europe with a master's already under their belt (they like french engineering schools more specifically, where most people apply when they already have one or two master's). I also know that you have no help finding jobs/internships.

Precisely, a French colleague of mine went through the path: strong French math undergrad + couple of internships -> Stanford MCF. After the programme it was associate in QR team in the bank with fast track to VP.

I currently work in academia and it’s my understanding that undergraduate math standards in Europe are on a similar level to (some) graduate level math standards in the US. From the LinkedIn profiles I’ve seen of admitted students, it seems like the program tends to put more of an emphasis on technical ability rather than previous quant work experience since it admits a lot of European applicants.
