Which one is better? I wanna get a MFE or PhD in FM/FE and work in algorithmic trading or risk management... Which would be a better choice?

They are equally helpful when it comes to getting in graduate programs in quant finance. A lot of things will determine your next goal success (PhD and work).
Stats has more outlets for job opportunities if you later change your mind and want to do something different. And it will be next to impossible to find job if you don't have good technical skills (aka programming).

Thank you Andy! The univ accepts statistics courses as math credits, and vice versa, but in statistics major you have to take some pronability modeling (coding?) practice classes. 1. Would these classes be meaningful for future FE careers? 2. Do you recommend me to take a math major with additional statistics courses (mainly stochastic process classes), or a statistics major with additional math courses? (introduction to financial math, differential equations, etc.)
