Visualization of financial data

This is a topic I'm recently very interested in. I'm currently reading The Visual Display of Quantitative Information by Edward Tufte which is considered a classic in this area.
There is a design area I also find fascinating which is "infographic".

The problem with ever growing data we face everyday at work is that human aren't designed to quickly make sense of those data so there is a need to visualize them. If you see heat map by finviz, you will see how multi-dimensional stock data can be visualized.

I have a bunch of data on Quantnet that I like to expose in a more creative way. Such as trending data from our Tracker. Would be nice to know if someone here is also into this kind of stuff.

interesting. visualizing things certainly helps (especially to to visual learners). Keep in mind, story-telling is another way to visually learn (indirectly).

As with your data: why don't you run some regression, display some basic stats and show them in pie charts/hisogram..etc.
would be interesting to see
