I know that a BSc is not enough but I am starting university this year and would like some opinions on which is better for starting out.

I am entering National University of Singapore and can Major in Quantitative Finance, Maths, Applied Maths, Physics or Stats. Comp Science is not included. If I do not major in Quant Fin, I could take a minor in Financial Maths. I posted links to the courses below.

Bsc QF is a better choice. Make sure you are able to choose PDE.

Good luck.

BS is enough to be a quant in NY or London. International students particularly might need Masters for non-skills based reasons, eg it is easier to judge strength of student with masters from a place you know.

Ultimately your basic skill set will play the most important role. Especially for undergrad, you should be developing your core skills, the ones you will build upon. I recommend majoring in a pure field like math or physics and augment with programming courses and as many applied courses as possible. Physics might be the best. You can take very theoretical courses but it is easier to remain connected to applied coursework.
