Hello Andy, I might be wrong but did i read somewhere in quantnet that C++ programming level I and level 2 are open to any users. If so do you think I can join the program too for level I and level 2.
Thanks,
Saurab

Hi Andy, another question. May I know what name will be printed on the certificate? The current forum name i am using is not the one printed on my official documents. Should I provide you with my official name some where? Thanks

Once you pass the course, you will submit your official name to the Baruch MFE program who will mail it to you.

Dear Ken, I am fascinated by the quants/quant world!May I ask you about an advice how to proceed to be a junior quant?I am a physicist with 8 years of significant experience in research and data analysis.I have M.S. in Physics and Engineering, Ph.D. in Physics and Math. from Russian Academy of Sciences. I am good in differentials, math, know Monte-Carlo(scientific applications), a bit of C++/Python/Matlab.I took
Hi Karl, I am wondering why you didn't get admision?! You have a outstanding background!
some courses from Stanford/Princeton in Model thinking, statistics, probability, etc. to remind myself about it. But the problem is-nobody wants the worker without an experience in finance environment! That does not matter where to apply the math rules – in basic research or financial industry. Math is Math :) What do you think about my chances to become a quant? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you! Lana

Hi Andy, thanks a lot for updating the programs reviews. However I found that some programs have extremely contradictory comments. I guess experience differ between domestic and international students. So could you please include the status of the reviewer so that we can have an expectation of the possible bias?

Depends on what you are looking for. I personally think Houston is growing more than Chicago. Honestly, sounds like you prefer Chicago and if so, should go to ITT.

its not about me liking Chicago Anthony. I just want to be sure of my decision. Coming to think of it, i think i'll be joining UoH itself. And as far as IB jobs are concerned, I'll just have to work hard and get into a good financial services firm. Currently I'm working for Thomson Reuters but working as a systems engg.

The point is there is no sure decision. If you like and want to work in Chicago, ITT is the choice. If you have zero preference, I think UoH is the better choice. With that said, not everyone wants to work in Houston or likes Texas. If you are miserable and hate where you are you will not network or interview well.
Hi rawger, I noticed that you've completed ur MSF from IIT - Stuart. I was wondering if you could tell me more abt the program and the university. How's the placements there(I heard its really bad and they dont have any career service). At any point did u regret joining IIT? It'll be great if you could help me with this. really need some senior/alumnus to help me out with it. Thanks
