Will closing my position violate my trading plan?

Carl, I am sure it would NOT violate your trading plan. When you trade you open and close positions, and that is how you make money. But if you would switch from options to, let’s say, futures that could be a problem, of course in case you have not indicated it in the trading plan.

I closed my positions, and I am up a tiny amount.

Hopefully it's good for $1,000. Today is only the 2nd day I could liquidate at above $1mil, so I took it.

Hopefully people don't unwind all of their positions and cash in the chips for the safe $1000 just yet. Every year, some of the top 10 going in the final week disappeared in the final result, some were disqualified for manual trading, including one who make over 200% return.
You never know until it's over.
