Clarification: The first year compensation reported here is the compensation guaranteed at the time of employment. It consists of the starting salary plus the signing bonus plus any first year bonus guaranteed in the offer letter, if any.

The annual performance-based bonus is not included here. In other words, the first year total compensation of our graduates is higher than the guaranteed compensation reported.

The lower bound for the starting salary has shifted significantly to the plus side. Are there any significant or relevant reason for this? Im curious. Thankyou.

One explanation could be that there are fewer jobs, but those that exist reflect real and immediate needs of companies, requiring solid skills and the ability to produce right away. And these types of jobs generally pay well.

That is why it pays to follow our Tweets :)

The number is now 21 out of 25. QuantNet exclusive ;)

Reason

Our experience is that international students have a success rate similar ro that of US residents, the one major difference being that international students are rarely eligible for positions that have to be filled immediately?????????? Why?

H1-B takes a while.

But then you have OPT and you can start working immediately! You do not need to wait for your H1

The comment was about opportunities that arise before students graduate and need to be filled immediately.

Thanks for this info. I believe it would very useful if information on profiles is also povided. Since there are only 27 students, it shouldn't be a huge task to collect the information on their positions (Analyst/Assoc etc) and desks (Fixed Income Trading, Equity Deriv structuring, Fix Inc Quant etc.). I think a few programs do provide that info on their websites.

Cheers !

It would be interested to learn such information. Which other programs do you know are making such information available other than those at CMU, Princeton, and UCB?

Thanks for the info ! I am aware of only these 3 programs too which provide such info.
