I have talked to a few students who enrolled in the first cohort and will graduate this Dec 2025. A lot of them are happy with the program and impressed with the Booth career services and alumni network. The range of job options are very broad, from IB to consulting to quantitative roles.
Given the resources that they have in the program, this can be a serious competitor with other MFin programs.
Support is very pro active and support for international students is excellent.

Nice, congrats. What is the application deadline(s) for the program? I couldn't find the info on their website.
Looking back at last year, I saw people getting interview in Feb, not as early as you.
Thanks Andy! They have rolling admissions going on for folks who submitted their applications before 6th October. I was wondering if there are any others who also applied back then. Being an international and with the political uncertainty Stateside, I thought applying as early as possible is prudent.

For R1, the deadline appears to be around 6th January, similar to MIT

Hi everyone, just wanted to drop in my interview experience with Chicago Booth for their MiF for future reference by candidates.

Mostly behavioural questions, being a new program the school is often curious how one got to know about this program. Then the usual, why Booth, why MiF, how this program adds up to your career goals, what's your expectations from the program, any leadership positions/projects/internships/full-time work experience you are particularly proud of.

Broadly, I feel if one has a good resume and well fleshed out applications, the interview should not be too difficult. If you've talked to current students, do bring that up, interviewers do like folks who've done their diligence.

Hope this helps!

Great share. Did you mention Quantnet at all?
Hope for a good and speedy result. Maybe a good idea to update the tracker with this interview note for future reference.

I would have loved to, but there just didn't seem any place where I could have inserted QuantNet naturally. Chicago has been a place I've thought for a long time about, particularly because how influential it has been on econ and finance in general. I've spent too much time during my engineering undergrad diving deep into economic theories across the board, so that was the root of my admiration for the University. The interview was more centered about my time at D.E. Shaw, more so because my role there wasn't your run-of-the-mill role (very heavy on working with traders and researchers, mostly in discretionary/hybrid strategies to weed out MNPI risks to the Firm).

On a side note, I did get the feeling they appreciate candidates doing a certification like the CFA, but then again, that's a subjective call. It's more relevant for someone who is looking to make a career in AM and probably not as relevant in the QR/QT/QD space
