Hello Everyone,

Has the book list for the first semester, Fall 2008 been prepared?

It would be really a great help if anyone could provide information about this.

Start by getting the Hull book and Shreve Volume II. Those will be used as some point.

The C++ book for refresher and Fall 08 will be this book (and some other books). I will post the official list of other courses once I hear from Prof. Stefanica

Summer 2008 MATH 9841 Book

The first book we will use is Gary Koop's Analysis of Financial Data

We will cover the entire book in the first 2 sessions of the class.

Please use this time to read ahead.

Subsequent reading will be posted shortly.

This text is different from the one listed on the syllabus Prof. Stefanica sent me. The one in the syllabus is "C++ Programming: With Design Patterns Revealed", by Tomasz Muldner, Addison Wesley, 2001, ISBN 0201722313." However, the dates on the syllabus were 2007, not 2008. Perhaps the syllabus is old, or this is one of the "other" books?

Also, does anyone know if the room where the refresher course will be held is, as listed on the syllabus, Computer Lab 6-130? I am on crutches for the next few weeks and would like to plan how I will get to class.

Thanks.

-Carl
