@arjunagrawal:

Well, I don't think I am the right person to tell you how to approach company representatives or how to network in general. you can get tips on those things from experienced career officers in your school or from printed material issued by school career services. talking to career advisors, doing mock interviews etc should help!
but again, in the end, it's up to you to practice and be creative when networking! as you said, you have to make the difference in the group of 60 people, and i don't think that there is some sort of "rule" or "ideal approach" in order for you to make this difference. i believe it also depends on your personality (perhaps how outgoing or funny you are) and your experiences of interacting with people. for example, you can read off the internet that a good way to network is "informational interviewing", but again there isn't really a best written strategy to guide you through the process and make it successful! overall, i think you shouldn't worry too much about planning every detail till the end, but just let yourself free, be spontaneous and honest...
