FAQ: Advanced C++ and Modern Design Online Course

Hi,
I am seriously considering to take this course. I do have several years of experience in programming in C++ (around 7 years)
However, I gained this experience (from academia & industry) by learning it on the fly
(by applying it on numerical methods: computational fluid dynamics (finite volume, finite elements), my background is mechanical engineering.) as
a result my knowledge about C++ is 'diffuse' and I am looking forward to do a formal/structured course that dives further into the details.
I am not particularly interested in quant finance, but the topics and course structure looked very appealing.
Does this course require some knowledge on financial engineering? (I have zero knowledge on that)

No quant knewledge is needed with the possible exception of Monte Carlo at the end. But it would be easy to choose a PDE/FDM/FVM case instead and the same design (my domain architectures) for it. I wrote 3 books on PDE/FDM (my own background) and all schemes in C++.

This course goes all the way to C++20.
No. It is important that you are familiar with topics we cover in the first C++ course before taking this one.

7 years sounds good
