C++ Online Certificate Students' intro thread

My name is Ganzorig and I am greeting from Central Asia, waiting for the right time to start the course. So i think it is time start the journey :).

Objective: Learning C++ for admission to MFE programs in US
Programming Experience: No prior experience
Current Work: Banking supervisor
Intended Pace: by the end of July

Current work: Currently write code for adhoc requests from client and support a capital markets product in middle office segment.

My name is Kasing and my objective is to learn C++ and be a competitive candidate for any MFE programs;

I programmed in R before while I was taking a stat class in my senior year;

I just graduated from college 20 days ago;

Hopefully I will get admitted into a top MFE program and plan to work in algorithmic trading, risk management, derivatives pricing upon graduation.

Programming Experience: None
Current Work: undergraduate major in economics
Intended Pace: I hope to finish this course before December. I think I maybe need to take a break from July 11 to August 11 due to personal reasons.
