C++ Online Certificate Students' intro thread

Objective: Learn C++ for MFE program, Learn how to model with C++, Meet people in pursuit of similar objectives

Programming Experience: C/C++, Matlab, R, Latex
Current Work: Mathematics Postdoc
Intended Pace: Not sure, this area is still under evaluation as I assess the difficulty of the course work.
 
Objective: further develop my quantitative skill set, master the toolbox for quant - C++, improve programming skills by learning low level C++ systematically and comprehensively
Programming experience: Python, VBA, R, SQL, Some C# as well as Java
Current work: Entry level quant at buy-side firm in Canada and in process of applying for a MFE program
Intended Pace: as got some programming experience already, fairly straightforward to pick up another language, intend to complete the course within a month. ASAP

Current Work: Unemployed. Currently taking courses through UCLA Extension to meet all necessary pre-requisites for the MFE Program.
Intented Pace: Wishes to finish the program by the end of March, so I can focus on studying for the CFA exam.
