C++ Online Certificate Students' intro thread

Hi, guys! I'm glad to join!
Objective: I'm being transferred to another workplace, where I gotta implement pricing models with C++.
Programming Experience: VBA, MATLAB
Current Work: Model reviewer in a commercial bank
Intended Pace: I wanna complete the course before I get transferred to the next workplace and before snowboard season gets started as well.

I have been lurking in Quantnet for a few months now and I am an aspiring Quant.
Worked in wall street last summer for a top life insurance company. Did some research in interest rate and inflation modeling for the corporate actuarial team.

Objective: Learn C++ and its use in basic financial engineering applications
Programming experience: Intermediate Excel and R (Econometrics and Linear Regression/Time Series). Hoping to learn Python and Matlab as well in addition to C++.
Current work: Master of Science student in Columbia
Intended Pace: Get through as much as possible before the spring semester starts next year.
