C++ Online Certificate Students' intro thread

Hi all,
my name is Massimo, Italian living in Amsterdam.
Objective: learn C++ . One reason is to expand my knowledge. The other is that , at 41 yo, after years in QRM, I would like to specialize on the Quant side of Market Risk and switch to more specific roles. This woud give "a nice shake" to my career, but so far I have been rejected exactly because of lack of C++ knowledge. So here I am :).
Programming experience: Python.
Current work: Model Risk Validator (for Interest Rate Risk in Banking Book).
Intended Pace: I would be very satisfied if I completed in the required time.
Wish every student success!
