C++ Online Certificate Students' intro thread

Objective: To refresh my knowledge of C++ which I learnt during my CS undergrad 6 years ago. Also, I want learn its application in finance and possibly use it at work for efficiency.
Programming Experience: Worked a DBA but currently out of touch. I can write some scripts in VBA.
Current Work: Small-cap equity analyst.
Intended Pace: Intend to progress steadily toward completion. I will have a better idea as I work through the exercises.
