Columbia MFE Columbia MFE 2018 Applications

So all in all we don't really know for sure. Best thing we can do is update the thread if we receive anything then we can have a better idea of when the rest of us should hear something.

Just reached this thread. My first interview was on 02/06, but suppositely in got broken. They sent me a link yesterday to take the interview again, did it today. Still waiting!

Good luck to everybody.

Does that mean that Columbia reached out to you that it's broken? In that case it would mean that they have reviewed/are reviewing the first set of invitations. If they reached out, when did they reach out?

Most likely. They reached out to me yesterday night (in Italy).

Do you guys know if it's possible to still get in without getting an interview invite?

Anyone knows if we would be able to get an offer from Columbia MathFin if we applied to MFE only? Till last year, they used to make admission offers to MSOR and MS MathFin if you were not able to crack MFE.

Hi, Usually, those missed MFE would be redirected to MSOR. Do you mean that the students who were not able to be admitted to MFE could be redirect to MathFin as well?

MathFin is in another department and MFE only redirect you to the MSOR program which is in the same Dept (IEOR). You need to apply separately for MathFin .

Guys, should we expect the results tomorrow? I guess many schools have fee deposit deadlines on 15th March.

I have a feeling tomorrow can be the day I would know whether or not I am going to New York.

If anyone gets accepted/rejected tomorrow, please do share immediately on this forum. Would be very much appreciated.

Thank You for the information Susan. Current student in columbia mfe told me that columbia was considering to stop redirection to msor. I just wanted to know whether its true.
