C++ Online Certificate Students' intro thread

Hello Everyone,

I am Vaibhav Singh.

Objective: To learn C++, gain C++ certification and self-assess my performance for Pre-MFE/MFE program application
Programming Experience: Currently dabbing with VBA, R, python. Further, I have done academic courses on Java, Fortran, Matlab, LabVIEW eons back.
Current Placement: Quantitative analyst.
Intended Pace: Hopefully by Feb'21. This is the first time I am doing a rigorous certification course while parallelly working. So I intend to self-assess my performance to see if I would be able to carry out further studies (pre-MFE/MFE courses) along with my current job.

Current Work: I teach and consult primarily to the "Resource" industries but that has been impacted by Covid and the fall in some commodity prices. My previous work has been in military aerospace and academia.
Intended Pace: A comfortable and enjoyable pace with the time limit.
